expertise in compensation systems, organization development, career
transition, and leadership development and coaching.
In addition to management experience spanning airline, financial
services and technology companies, he has consulted extensively to companies
in the US, Australia, Asia, the Middle East, UK and Europe.
Brian has sold and implemented the CLASSIFY / AGRADE system
to high profile clients, including Boeing and Nestle, in industries
ranging from mining to manufacturing to services.
With significant facilitation and training skills, he has worked
with people “from board room to boiler room”.
Brian’s accomplishments include: leading the organization sub
project of a major business turnaround, which generated significant
culture change for a $US 1 billion global corporation; designing and
introducing modern, business-focused human resources processes into
a bureaucratic, seniority-based environment.
He also conducted organizational audits of regional offices in
New York, London, Paris and Dubai, and recommended
savings of more than 50% in staffing costs.
In other achievements, Brian completely re-wrote a Schedule
of Authority, detailing approval levels for all financial and human
resources activities, to decentralize decision-making and increase accountability. With client executives and managers, he drove
development of a corporate customer service strategic plan in a militant,
unionized environment, in place of operational “fire fighting”.
As a career transition consultant working with Right Management
Consultants, he has assisted more than 300 executives and managers in
the US and Australia to re-orient
their careers, conducting job search seminars, and fostering client
relationships. As a volunteer,
Brian co-founded and co-facilitates the CareerBridge job search network
which has been instrumental in more than 130 professionals and managers
finding new jobs since 2001.
Brian has also delivered sessions at conferences and workshops
on organization change, and compensation, presenting recently to groups
including HR Southwest
Conference, Texas Compensation & Benefits Conference, University of Texas at Arlington, and APICS.
His article “The Juggling Act – Internal Equity and Market Pricing”
was published in “workspan”, the national journal of WorldatWork (formerly
American Compensation Association).
Brian holds an MBA from Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia, one of
the top forty business schools in the world, and a Bachelor’s degree
in Psychology from the University of Sydney. He is an active member of Dallas-Fort Worth
Organization Development Network and North Texas Compensation Association.
